Jim Toffey, CEO

Jim Toffey, CEO

Jim Toffey has over 30 years’ experience in Fintech building and operating electronic marketplaces around the world. He founded Tradeweb Markets in 1997, a joint venture with four global banks, and served as Chief Executive Officer through 2008, growing Tradeweb from a start-up to a global exchange platform spanning 18 different asset classes. Mr. Toffey received an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration and a B.A. from Dartmouth College. After leaving Tradeweb Markets, he served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Warburg Pincus, LLC and went on to found Benchmark Solutions, where he served as Chief Executive Officer. Toffey also served as the President of Fixed Income, Equity and Retail Wealth Management at Thomson Financial, Inc. after Thomson’s acquisition of Tradeweb.

Mark Brazier, CFO and Treasurer

Mark Brazier, CFO and Treasurer

Mark Brazier is CFO and Treasurer at LiquidX, responsible for finance, strategy and investor related matters. Prior to joining LiquidX Mark was CFO – Americas and Head of Corporate Development and Investor Relations at GFI Group. Mark has extensive experience in building and running respected and strong finance departments across multiple regions and disciplines, having lead the setting up of GFI’s offices in Mexico City and Santiago. Mark is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and worked as an associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Audit and Business Advisory Services practice in London. Mark holds a BA (Honors) degree in Economics and Politics from Durham University, UK.

Andrew Phillips, General Counsel

Andrew Phillips, General Counsel

Andrew Phillips is General Counsel at LiquidX, where he is responsible for managing all legal and compliance matters. Prior to LiquidX, Andrew worked as an associate at Slaughter and May in London and Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York and latterly as in-house counsel at Barclays Bank in New York covering the US corporate banking business. Andrew has extensive experience across a wide range of legal and regulatory areas, particularly with respect to trade finance, debt finance and general banking. Andrew holds a BA in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford (Lincoln College) and is admitted to practice in both New York and England and Wales.

Glenn Kocher, Managing Director

Glenn Kocher, Managing Director

Glenn Kocher is a Managing Director at LiquidX, where he is responsible for institutional sales, supporting corporate trading. Prior to LiquidX, Glenn was Head of Trade Finance and Working Capital Americas at Barclays, where he led the delivery of traditional trade and open account products to the bank’s corporate and financial institutions clients. Prior to establishing the Barclays trade business in the Americas, Glenn set-up and ran the bank’s trade finance team in France based out of its Paris office. Glenn has also held previous trade finance roles with Barclays in London. Glenn began his career in the buy-side asset management industry with institutional investment firm, Cambridge Associates, working for a number of years in Cambridge’s Washington DC and London offices. Glenn holds a degree in International Economics from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, a diplôme from the Institut d’études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), and an MBA from INSEAD.

Peter Lopoukhine, Managing Director

Peter Lopoukhine, Managing Director

Peter Lopoukhine has over 20 years of experience in Structured Trade and Commodities Finance, and has held senior origination positions for Societe Generale, Macquarie Bank and most recently Santander Bank. He has arranged and led a variety of structured financing facilities for a wide array of commodity traders and commodity-related companies. As a banker, Peter focused on agricultural commodities, renewable energy, and oil and gas, while also developing an extensive network of financial investors active in the commodities space. At LiquidX, Peter is responsible for on-boarding and managing relationships with commodity traders and natural resource companies. Given his industry experience, Peter works very closely with LiquidX customers in developing structured products and arranging auctions that satisfy their risk management, asset management and liquidity needs. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an MBA from Fordham University.

Ryan Hollar-Gregory, Managing Director

Ryan Hollar-Gregory, Managing Director

Ryan is responsible for the global sales and distribution of all LiquidX trade finance assets. Prior to joining LiquidX, Ryan was part of the Citibank Global Trade team leading the distribution and sales of Export Agency Finance assets in the Americas and trade finance assets in North America. While at Citi, Ryan worked across many divisions including trade distribution and securitized products. Ryan has a B.S. from University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Ryan is responsible for the global sales and distribution of all LiquidX trade finance assets. Prior to joining LiquidX, Ryan was part of the Citibank Global Trade team leading the distribution and sales of Export Agency Finance assets in the Americas and trade finance assets in North America. Aarti Rao, Managing Director

Aarti Rao, Managing Director

Aarti Rao joined LiquidX in January 2016 and is responsible for on-boarding and managing the relationship of Corporate clients on the platform. Prior to LiquidX, Aarti worked at Barclays Bank for 11 years where she held a number of senior client coverage roles in the US, UK and India. During her time at Barclays, Aarti primarily focused on the Healthcare and Industrial sectors working with Investment Grade and High Yield Multinational Corporate clients. She specialized in cross border banking related to debt finance, trade finance, risk management, cash management and card services. Aarti holds a Bachelors of Commerce from the University of Pune, India, and a Masters in Finance and Management from the University of Essex, UK.

Prior to joining LiquidX, Aarti worked at Barclays Bank Plc for 11 years where she held a number of senior client coverage role in the US, UK and India. MORE

Mike Walker, Head of Technology and Operations

Mike Walker, Head of Technology and Operations

Mike Walker is Head of Technology and Operations for LiquidX where he aligns systems innovation and operational continuity with the needs of the Corporate Receivables Program which he helped to launch as then Head of Product Management.

Prior to this, Mike led the e-commerce strategy at Whitney National Bank where he had P/L responsibility that saw double digit growth in loans, deposits and services as well as gaining industry recognition for new product development. Prior to Whitney he founded and exited an application development consultancy that folded into BrightStar Information Technology Group which held an IPO in 1999.

Mike has expertise in architecting fintech product strategies, constructing operating models, and leading build outs, with specific experience in developing sustainable systems for complex environments. Mike holds an MBA from Warrington College of Business at The University of Florida and a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Louisiana – Lafayette.

Jesse Bornstein, Head of Client Services

Jesse Bornstein, Head of Client Services

Jesse acts as the key point of contact for all market participants. In this role, Jesse works with both buyers and sellers to facilitate transparent and efficient trading on the platform. Prior to joining LiquidX, Jesse held various roles at CIT Group with a deep focus on underwriting and origination within the Trade Finance business unit. Jesse received a Bachelor of Science degree from Binghamton University and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Jesse acts as the key point of contact for all market participants. In this role, Jesse works with both buyers and sellers to facilitate transparent and efficient trading on the platform. MORE
